Super Space Chick

Currently in my Amazon Cart

Hi all! Andrew and I have been buckling down and getting serious about our budget.  We’re planning to buy a house within the next year which means that I’ve had to restrain myself from shopping quite a bit.  I’ve never had to stick to a strict budget before so these first few weeks have been a challenging adjustment.  Andrew has been so great about creating excel sheets and helping me keep my eyes on the ultimate goal.  But, this also means that my usual haunts have shopping carts that are overflowing.  I will say that since I’ve cut back, I’ve definitely been more thoughtful about my purchases and I only buy things that I’m certain will become staples or new favorites.  I’m shopping with clearer intention and I think yoga (which I wrote about earlier this week) is also helping me keep a clear mind and instilling the desire to keep a clear physical space.

I’m going to be sharing some more wish lists on the blog so I can still indulge in my love of shopping without always hitting that checkout button.  While I was longingly admiring my Amazon cart the other day, I noticed that the items I have within it are so aesthetically pleasing! I’m waiting until my points for last month hit my account and then I’m definitely getting the below items!

Mustard Yellow Dress – I’ve been obsessed with mustard clothing and accessories lately and I need a good basic to add to my wardrobe.  I always tend to buy apparel with cute vintage prints and I barely have any classic staple items so I’m trying to change that and put more effort into my accessories and hair as a way to spice up outfits I’ve already worn.

Embroidered Cherry Cardigan – Despite wanting some basics, I can’t resist these adorable embroidered cherries<3

Anne of Green Gables – I honestly want this entire collection of beautiful Anne books. I read Anne of Green Gables last October and it really spoke to my heart.  It’s since become one of my favorite classics ever and I’ve become a bit obsessed with collecting pretty editions.  It also doesn’t help my wallet that Anne editions seem to be the prettiest of any books in the world but it’s very fitting for such a beautiful series!

Mustard Beret – I’ve actually had my eye on the mustard beret from Urban Outfitters for quite awhile BUT when I realized that there were berets in a rainbow array of colors on Amazon for a third of the price, the choice became rather simple.

Oversized Heart Shaped Sunglasses – With Spring (hopefully) around the bend, I’ve been wanting to expand my kitschy sunglasses collection.  They can really add a special something to an outfit and they’re such a good price!

Red Polka Dot Cardigan – Red is another one of my favorite colors to wear and this polka dot cardigan also seems like a good staple.  It can transcend seasons and I’m envisioning wearing it with a black skater skirt and those red heart sunnies.

Sam Edelman Kitten Heels – These are so precious! I rarely wear heels anymore (especially not the towering ones of years past) but I do like the slip them on every once in a while if I know I won’t be doing a ton of walking. These look like they would be pretty comfy!

Emily of New Moon – Okay, but why can’t L.M. Montgomery’s cover artists make all the book covers?! I admittedly haven’t read the Emily series yet and I do have a different set with beautifully illustrated covers on my shelves but if it’s anything like Anne I know I’m going to love it.  Plus, these seem to be going out of stock and I need to grab them before they’re hard to find.

Red Dress – The same really goes for this dress- it seems like a good affordable basic and I can’t wait to wear it with a black leather jacket and some red shoes!

  1. That mustard dress is adorable. I’ve never really been good in mustard (too pale) but I love it. I love the sunglasses. 😍

  2. I love the sunglasses! Max and I are in major saving mode because our wedding is next year and it is HARD. I do find though that it’s nice to be more intentional about our purchases!
